Usage of Present Progressive Tense

  • For expressing time at the moment of speaking

Positive form

       Subject + is/am/are + First form of verb(+ing)

Example

  • I'm walking
  • He's walking
  • I'm going

  • He is playing tennis

Negative form

       Subject + is/am/are + not + First form of verb(+ing)

Example

  • I'm not walking
  • He isn't walking
  • I'm not going
  • He is'nt not going
  • He is not playing tennis

Question form

       Is/am/are + subject + First form of verb(+ing)

Example

  • Am I walking?
  • Is he walking?
