The Uses Of Function Keys In Keyboard

  • F1  : Opens the help screen for almost all the programs in the system.
  • F2  : Allows you to rename a selected folder or file.
  • F3  : Opens the search feature for the active program.
  • F4  : Alt + F4 closes the current active window.
  • F5  : Allows you to reload or refresh the document window or the page.

  • F8  : Used to access the bootmenu when turn own the computer in windows OS.
  • F9  : Refreshes sends and receives emails in Microsoft outlook or Microsoft Word
  • F10: Activates the menu bar of an open application.
  • F11: Enters and exit full screen mode in almost internet browsers.
  • F12: Opens the console dialog box in internet browsers. Save as dialogue box will opens in microsoft word.
